Things I Wished

I Learned

This is a mixed-methods study that examines childhood trauma among Black lesbian, gay, and bisexual (LGB) emerging adults (ages 18-25; EA). This study has three aims: (1) examine the associations between parental socialization, traumatic experiences, cultural strengths, and health among Black LGB EA, (2) explore how Black LGB EA make meaning of the childhood trauma they experienced, and (3) discover the messages they wish their parents would have given them related to being a Black LGB person.
